Our Story
Distinctive Lighting Concepts began in 1994 as a small lighting business located in Elmwood Kitchens' St. Catharines showroom. From this location we have developed a solid client base and a reputation for offering unique lighting alternatives.

In 1996 we joined with several other home design specialists to create the Elmwood Design Centre. As part of this collection of businesses we are able to offer customers the unique ability to shop for all of their residential and commercial design needs in one place. Our move to the Design Centre has not only enabled us to carry a much larger number of in-stock lighting fixtures but has also allowed us to expand our line of services and products to include a range of home furnishings and accessories.

We strive to offer our customers unique selections and superior service as we continue to be Niagara�s finest lighting showroom.

Our Staff
DLC is a dynamic company with an experienced and enthusiastic staff to back it up. Jess and Jenny Howlett have been looking after customers lighting needs for over 20 years. Jess is certified by the Illuminating Engineering Society and is a qualified electrician able to answer all of his customer's technical questions. Jenny is the showroom manager, with flair and talent to know exactly which lights the client is looking for, she also trains the rest of the staff to offer the same attention to detail.

All staff members are constantly upgrading their skills and are always seeking new and innovative products to offer to our customers.

You will find our staff to be friendly, dedicated and knowledgeable whether they are helping you select fixtures, design your lighting layout or solve your lighting problems.
